There were several cemeteries on this island which were not enclosed by walls. The wall at HAF-DID-2 was built during the presidency of Maumoon Abdul Gayoom (1978-2008) when the government provided materials to the locals. This, however, was pulled down and a second wall (HAH-DID-3) was built during the presidency of Yameen Abdul Gayoom (2013-2018).
