This is the house of Hussain Umbusheymu. He was an Imam and the chief of the island. It is also the house where my parents and brothers lived. Therefore, I know a lot about the history of the house. The building had also previously served as a courthouse. Every night, after the evening prayer (isha), cases were raised by members of the community and resolved by the Umbusheymu.
