The Kuda Ziyaarat is a shrine mausoleum marking the burial of Hasan Badr al-Din. Local tradition identifies him as an Arab migrant who had had come to the island to serve as a judge (qadi), but reportedly died en route or soon after arriving.
The surrounding cemetery site includes a sundial, and over 200 carved coral gravestones. It formerly also had a coral stone mosque, which was razed after the construction of a large new mosque nearby. Ritual observances at the ziyaarat were abandoned several decades ago.
