タンパク質やRNA に狙った機能を発揮させるにはどのように設計すればよいか、そして「細胞の中」で機能しているタンパク質やRNA の精緻な組織体を、どのようにして機能を保ったまま「細胞の外」で構築するかを研究しています。これらの研究を通じて、人工光合成や人工代謝系のようなクリーンで高効率なエネルギーの生産や利用ができるタンパク質・RNA 組織体の構築を目指しています。
